FUTUR CONTRIBUTED TO THE CAMPAIGN ELECTORAL MATCHES

In municipal elections a few days we will live in Catalonia and the rest of the state. Already in the past elections we attended the first splash when a xenophobic and fascist party was at the gates of Parliament and other parties expressed a speech openly racist. Given the lack of social responsibility and political parties, we note with concern as we develop the next elections and warned of the danger in the Catalan town of aldermen and women who occupy places in our racist town.

Fundació Futur is positioned against the racist speeches and proposals of any political party and therefore contributed to the campaign Electoral Matches.

FUNDACIÓ FUTUR SERVES THE CATERING L’ANTIC ESCORXADOR D’IGUALADA'S 15th ANNIVERSARY DINNER

The Jove Cambra d’Igualada is a non-denominational and apolitical association formed by young people between 18 and 40, with the aim of autosuperació and training staff. The members of the entity engaged altruistically to form through the implementation of programs that cause a beneficial impact on the community. The purpose of these programs is to develop leadership skills, social responsibility and companionship enough to produce positive changes.

As a business model, chose Fundació Futur, either CSR, respect for the environment or the food model that we have reached. We were invited to present the project and Manuel Almirall made a detailed explanation about the foundation and its journey over the 15 years that is about to meet. Interestingly, Joves de la Cambra, also celebrated its fifteenth anniversary.



Taking this opportunity, they lick their fingers with a drum and a potato with Idiazábal cod in honey that cook our colleagues on the occasion of this celebration, which took place in the Old Slaughterhouse City Igualada , turned into a multipurpose space.

FUTUR FORMS IN THE NEW CENTRAL KITCHEN 15 STUDENTS FROM PRISONS IN THE 15TH ANNIVERSARY!

This 2011 Fundació Futur has promoted the formation of line kitchen assistant, taking advantage of the facilities of the new central kitchen and has the collaboration of the CIRE and the support of the Fundació La Caixa. This course is part of the program Incorpora, and is aimed at collective prisons as a shock when power reincorpar to society.

The 15 students come from the open centers of Barcelona are in third grade or on parole, so it is an ideal time to offer personal and professional tools to help them rejoin society.



The course is 375 hours with 290 hours of practical training in cooking, a module of 25 hours of guidance and new technologies, another occupational risk of 10 hours and 50 hours of practical in restoration companies.

The aim of this course is to train these 15 students in the healthy catering industry to acquire and assume the responsibilities of specific job and have more chances of finding work in the hospitality sector. To carry out this training we have the experience of Juan Anton Gonzalez Simon, a professional chef and trainer with extensive experience in the restaurant sector, with a clear concept of giving the training a step relevant to the professionalization of student.



Within the line formation, we have also integrated the concept of service learning, a new way of understanding the integration of this collective solidarity activities aimed at promoting the community. With this service, the Fundació Futur supports a plan of supportive activities to help motivate students from Justice, and also enable them to integrate into our society and restore their freedom. There will be an awareness plan, which the protagonists are the same students in the basic training course in cooking, and the purpose of this course will develop personal and social tools so they can enjoy freedom as one of the most appreciated fruit our lives.



Fundació Futur this year celebrates 15 years of life and so will a birthday party on June 6, in which students participate actively in the preparation of catering the party. The foundation, this course emphasizes its mission to provide a second chance to those who need it most, and in the case of the collective prison, becomes the origins of the Futur, because it is the collective group that gave us reason to be born.

FUTUR IN THE III CONGRESS OF THE THIRD SECTOR

On March 24 and 25 held the 3rd Congress of the Third Sector in Social International Convention Centre of Catalonia and Futur with flea sharing booth there were present, feelings and experiences.

It was fair to all those organizations that are dedicated to the third sector, to establish a fair synergies to know the different organizations that offer resources, and thus able to configure a large map of the entities, services, training, etc. available to the territory in order to improve, enhance and assess more effectively the various people at risk with which social work.

We would also like to emphasize the educational aspect, to share experiences and reflections with the completion of numerous conferences, great experiences and work tables, which have at least helped to know other realities, other methods and fields of work, but without lose sight of what is our goal, to walk together towards a more egalitarian society towards a better future.

FUNDACIÓ FUTUR PART IN ROME IN THE ANNUAL MEETING "EATING CITY"

The past March 21, 22 and 23 Isabel Coderch, Healthy School Meal Program (MES), came to Rome to multi-year work program of the Consortium Risteco-Terre Citoyenne called "Eating City".

The objective of the program, which was born in 2010, is to create opportunities to meet internationally in Europe, China, USA and Africa to develop case studies in multiple dimensions (ecadim) and a series of "notebook" with concrete proposals aimed at those responsible for public and private decision processes involved in above and below the food chain, and all operators, partnership of the restoration.

The mode of development of each event provides for the organization of three thematic workshops, resulting in a study of comparable cases, the cd Ecadim and organizing a public conference meeting which aims to spread a new culture of more sustainable and responsible business.

FUNDACIÓ FUTUR, FOLLOWING ITS LINE REDUCTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR ACTIVITY HAS SIGNED THE AGREEMENT ON THE EMISSION REDUCTION GREENHOUSE POWERED BY THE GOVERNMENT.

Voluntary Agreements:

Voluntary agreement to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG)

The Catalan Office on Climate Change promotes and supports the establishment of voluntary agreements with organizations, associations and collectives in Catalonia for the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases.

The promotion of this agreement is intended to become a key part of the range set of public policies on climate change. Following the experiences developed in other European countries, has been confirmed that these agreements between public and private sectors are a great way for progress on the path towards sustainability.

In this regard, the Framework Plan for climate change mitigation actions in Catalonia 2008-2012 down to the drive of voluntary mitigation agreements and to create a record of participating organizations. Under the Plan, these actions may contribute to the reduction of 590,000 tons of annual CO2eq.

Through voluntary agreement, all companies, institutions, governments, associations and foundations that want to join voluntarily commit to track their emissions and establish measures that contribute to its reduction, beyond forcing the regulations. For its part, the Government of Catalonia and encourages these efforts, in turn, establishes mechanisms for public recognition.

RESPONSIBLE COFFE IN CATERING

From now Fundacio Futur's catering uses responsible coffee (certified by UTZ Certified global certification program that controls the global production of coffee responsible).

We use Cafès Novell's biodegradable capsules. These capsules do not require any special treatment, because its composition is not natural polymers derived from petroleum, do not contain heavy metals as with other systems on the market.

Our capsules are biodegradable in all conditions undone.

DIALOGUES IN COSMOCAIXA

Fundació Futur did the catering for a conference of 1,200 people where talking about social enterprises, such as ours. At dinner, but only attended one tenth, about 120 people, the Director of the World Bank, the Cosmocaixa director, the National Geographic, Green Peace, among others. From that it was joined by all kinds of people, either "up" and "low".

FOUR THOUSAND STUDENTS IMPROVE THEIR SCHOOL NUTRITION

Intervida joins forces with Futur to raise awareness for sustainable school meals

Barcelona (18/01/11). Intervida continues with its campaign for the right to food and begins a new action, now in the hands of an entity that acts recognized historical and the fourth world, the Futur Foundation. Futur works with people at risk of social exclusion and food as the basis of their economic activity, use the school as a venue and time of dining space as natural to worry about the Power, action that has received support from ONGs Intervida.

Futur Foundation manages more than 30 school canteens sustainable (MES project) to primary schools, reaching more than four thousand students, school instructors, teachers and parents. To achieve a healthier diet, the project is based on a change in the preparation of lunch using local and seasonal produce and / or organic or fair trade. Schools that opt for the Futur Foundation with good food, and promoting business integration Futur Just now have Intervida activities that accompany the dining room. One of the activities will be implemented by school menus is a exhibition on the Right to Food 0 Fam: right to food for children to be aware of the problem of world hunger.

FECSA-ENDESA: VULL PRENDRE LA LLUM DE FUTUR!

El darrer dia 25 de novembre van visitar la nova seu de la Fundació Futur i Futur Just EI, SL, la Sra. Maria Vivas, directora de comunicació d'Endesa i en Jordi Goenga, director d’ incentius, Convencions i Events Catalunya d'Halcón Viajes, per veure in situ les instal·lacions de la nostra nova cuina prenent nota de totes les explicacions que li va donar el responsable de cuina de Futur.



La directora de comunicació d'Endesa i el director d’Incentius de la firma Halcón Viajes van fer un recorregut per la resta de les oficines de la seu central i van estar molt interessats en la tasca de càtering d’events i d’inserció de la nostra organització. Aquesta visita va venir de la mà d’en Rubén Selmik, el comercial extern de Futur, i de l’Aida Fernández, la responsable de càtering, i es va acabar amb un tast de les delicadeses fetes pels cuiners i cuineres de Futur.

Aquest apropament d'Endesa i d'Halcón Viajes a Futur pot ser una bona notícia a l’hora de mantenir la llum de la inserció sociolaboral de la nostra organització per a la propera dècada.

FUTUR JUST COMMITMENT AGAINST SOCIAL EXCLUSION

On Sunday, 17th October 2010, the entities of la Taula d’entitats del Tercer Sector Social de Catalunya signed the pledge against social exclusion. The event, held at Zona Nord Theatre, they attend more than 300 people and featured speeches from the President of the Generalitat, José Montilla, president and officers of entities in la Taula d’entitats del Tercer Sector Social de Catalunya, Àngels Guiteras.

The signed document includes ten commitments by social organizations and ten who move to institutions and society at large to eradicate poverty. One of the main objectives of poverty would be reduced by 25% social exclusion by 2015. It also calls for social investment in Catalonia is equivalent to the European average, the financial system to engage in a real and effective with the right to decent housing for everyone and that people consume responsibly.

Futur participated at conferences Club EMAS (EMAS registered organizations Association of Catalonia) to celebrate World Environment Day in Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona on Saturday 5 June. There were games, activities, music, workshops, etc.

EMAS stands for Eco-Management and Audit Scheme, a management tool for companies and other organizations, voluntary application, which evaluate, improve and publicize their environmental behavior. The organizations are EMAS recognized by the European Union as companies that guarantee the accuracy of the environmental information they provide.

Futur releases new central kitchen! This, according to the principles of environmental sustainability that define all the activities of the Futur (Certification ISO 14001 and EMAS), is a kitchen that takes into account the use of alternative energy and clean and also the use and proper management of waste it generates.

Like everything Futur does, the kitchen is designed primarily to create jobs for people in situation of exclusion. This is roughly our central kitchen project, an innovative, long distance, and a strong social and environmental component that we believe brings significant value to the world of catering.

We will be attending again the Fair Bioculture held at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on Thursday 29th April to Sunday 2 May. We will be in the booth 132. It is fair and responsible consumption of organic products most important in Spain and is expected for this time more than 700 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors. Fundació Futur has successfully reached its target of €300,000 in participatory equity securities.

In just 15 days, the foundation achieved its intended subscription amount of €300,000.

On Friday 20 November, 2009, Fundació Futur, a social enterprise committed to sustainable economics and social solidarity, achieved a new record. In just two weeks the foundation saw the issuance of enough equity securities (valued at €1000 each) to be able to continue developing its projects. The €300,000 will be used to toward the realisation of Futur’s activities, including its pioneering sustainable kitchen project and its healthy school meal program, both designed in 1996 to combat social exclusion and marginalization and to promote ecological sustainability.
